In order to further do a good job in voluntary services for epidemic prevention and control, and enhance the sense of pride and honor of participating in voluntary services, the Municipal Youth League Committee and Beijing Voluntary Service Federation have specially designed and made exclusive badges for volunteers for epidemic prevention and control. At present, the first batch of 17000 badges has been distributed to all districts.

    In kexingjiayuan community, Liuliqiao street, Fengtai District, Mo xianwenhui, a nucleic acid sampling volunteer, received a volunteer service certificate and a thank-you letter. Along with these, a special gift was sent to the volunteers: the anti epidemic Volunteer Service Badge. Receiving this set of commemorative badges, Mo xianwenhui couldn't put it down.

    "This set of badges is of great significance to me. As a junior majoring in clinical medicine, I am particularly moved and proud. I also have my own 'medal of honor'!" Mo xianwenhui, from a military family, said that when she was a child, her favorite thing was to secretly appreciate her father's military medal and imagine that she could have one. Some time ago, she became a nucleic acid sampling volunteer to participate in epidemic prevention and control under the scorching sun and high temperature, and finally realized her childhood wish. "When I get home, I want to show it to my father. This is my 'medal of honor'!"

    It is understood that a set of two anti epidemic volunteer service badges, divided into blue and red styles, are designed by the team of the school of design and art of Beijing Printing Institute.

    "The design of the badge applies the background of the temple of heaven and the logo of the Beijing Volunteer Service Federation, which represents that the vast number of volunteers in the city have invested in the front line of epidemic prevention and control under the slogan of 'anti epidemic has me, volunteer colleagues'; the image of anti epidemic volunteers in white protective clothing vividly shows the volunteer temperature that anti epidemic volunteers convey to the city with their heart-to-heart movements and smiling faces." According to the relevant person in charge of the Beijing volunteer service guidance center, the production of these badges will further encourage front-line volunteers to continue to make contributions to epidemic prevention and control, and continue to polish the "golden card" of Beijing volunteer service.

    Once launched, this set of exclusive badges has been welcomed by the majority of anti epidemic volunteers. In huojiaying community, Changping District, volunteers wore badges before taking up their posts. "When we are involved in the prevention and control of community epidemics, the smiling 'big white' image on this exclusive badge is a vivid portrayal of each of our anti epidemic volunteers." A member of the community youth volunteer service team said.

    According to statistics, since the outbreak of the new round of epidemic in the city in late April, various voluntary service organizations at all levels in the city have released more than 7000 epidemic prevention and control projects on the "volunteer Beijing" platform, participated in 172000 volunteers, and served nearly 3million hours in total.
