1. Development history
The order of St Andrey was established by Czar Peter the great in 1698. It is the highest reward for meritorious personnel in the Russian Empire. After the medal was abolished by the Soviet Union, Russia re established it as the highest medal in 1998.
2. Overall design
The order of St. Andrea is a black double headed eagle with enamel, a crown on the head and a blue St. Andrea cross on the chest. St Andre was crucified. On the four ends of the cross is the abbreviation 'SARP' of the Latin "Sanctus andreus patronus Russia". On the back of the eagle, a white ribbon is hung on its neck, and the motto of the medal is written in golden letters: "for faith and loyalty" (Russian) §Ù§Ñ §Ó§Ö§â§å §Ú §Ó§Ö§â§ß§à§ã§ä§î£©¡£
3. Conditions of issuance
The st Andre medal is awarded to outstanding politicians and public figures, well-known scientists and outstanding representatives of culture, art and other industries to reward their outstanding contributions to promote the prosperity, solemnity and glory of Russia. It can also be used to reward foreign heads of state for their outstanding contributions to the Russian Federation.
